The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ now delivers an impressive claimed WLTP range of up to 926km—an increase of around 13 percent over its predecessor—positioning it among the longest-range electric sedans currently available.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 400 offers a claimed range of up to 817km. The all-wheel-drive variants, including the Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 4MATIC and the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC, deliver a claimed range of up to 876km, balancing performance with extended efficiency.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz EQS facelift sees a significant upgrade in battery technology, with capacity now reaching up to 122kWh. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 400 is equipped with a 112kWh battery pack, ensuring a strong balance between efficiency and performance.

Power outputs across the range vary from 367hp to 585hp, catering to different driving preferences. All-wheel-drive capability, branded as 4MATIC, is available on the Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 4MATIC and Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC, offering enhanced traction and dynamic stability.

In terms of charging, the EQS supports DC fast charging of up to 350kW, enabling the addition of up to 320km of range in just 10 minutes under WLTP conditions. This setup includes a shorter first gear for quicker acceleration and a longer second gear designed to enhance efficiency at higher speeds, delivering a smoother and more responsive driving experience.

Regenerative braking has also been significantly improved, now offering up to 385kW—a 33 percent increase over the previous model. This allows most everyday deceleration to be managed through energy recuperation, boosting overall efficiency and extending driving range.

Additionally, the air suspension system has been upgraded with cloud-based inputs, enabling it to automatically adjust damping settings based on real-time road data gathered from other vehicles. This results in improved ride comfort, stability, and adaptability across varying driving conditions.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz EQS facelift retains its sleek, coupe-like silhouette while receiving notable updates to its front and rear styling for a more modern and premium look.

At the front, the luxury EV features a redesigned grille with a distinctive backlit star pattern, complemented by a new illuminated Mercedes-Benz emblem. The advanced “Digital Light” headlamps now offer enhanced functionality, capable of projecting high beams up to 600 metres, and are more seamlessly integrated with the full-width light bar.

The daytime running lights (DRLs) adopt star-shaped elements, aligning with the latest lighting signature seen on newer Mercedes models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz CLA, and Mercedes-Benz GLC EV.

Further enhancing its visual appeal, the front bumper has been revised with a larger airdam and added chrome accents, giving the EQS a more dynamic and sophisticated presence on the road.

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz EQS facelift continues with the MBUX Hyperscreen integrating three displays under one glass panel, now powered by MB.OS with OTA updates and an AI-based MBUX Virtual Assistant. It also introduces energy-optimised navigation, an optional yoke-style steering with upcoming steer-by-wire tech, and enhanced driver-assistance systems including improved lane assist and parking with diagonal capability. Rear passengers get dual 13.1-inch screens, while features like HEPA air filtration and heated seatbelts add comfort. The updated EQS is set to launch in Europe and the US in the second half of 2026, with an India debut expected later.
